Search
Tips
- Sound-alike matching, when
checked, will allow words that sound alike to match on searches. For
example, spay would match
spey. This feature allows you to
search for a word even if you are unsure of the exact spelling.
- Capitalization: Lower-case words will match any case. For
example, typing humane will
return all documents containing the words
humane,
Humane, and
HUMANE. Typing
Humane, however, will
instruct the search engine to look only for the capitalized word.
- When you type a word, plurals and
different parts of speech are found. For example, a search for the
word spay will also find
spaying.
-
When you get to
the page you're looking for, you can most quickly find the word you
want by using your browser's Find on This Page (Internet
Explorer, Firefox, Netscape) or Find (Safari) feature, on the
Edit menu.
