In Memoriam of Patricia

I adopted Patricia about age two after she had been rescued from the streets of Newark, New Jersey, in a neighborhood unsafe for man or animal. She was a dynamo who packed 100 pounds of love and joy of living into a 10 pound body.

For 14 years she never left my side. I’ve had several dogs through the years and still have two, but never one with so much personality. She had been injured and had lost part of her jaw, a few teeth, and a corner of her tongue, but in my eyes she was beautiful. Our vet named her “The Beauty Queen” of Essex Fells.
