In Memoriam of Ellie

Ellie was a beautiful, sweet, loving, but very shy little girl. She was a beloved member of our family for over fourteen years, but she spent a lot of that time hiding behind the living-room drapes from strangers and imagined dangers. She liked to peek out to observe what was going on, but apparently felt safe from discovery, even though her little pink nose and at least one eye were very visible.

She was her Daddy’s special girl, coming to him every evening for caresses and a massage, which, because of her “elevation” expertise, earned her the nickname “Elevator Butt.” She had a face that was “cute as a button,” a mask of innocence, and a unique squeak that was her version of a meow. She will always live in our hearts.
